Ultimate Halloween trip ideas 2024

Halloween is starting to creep up on us this year. With Summer coming to an end is time to start planning the fall and halloween trips. Being a local New Orleans is my top choice. 

NOLA is known for the Ghost tours, Voodoo shops, rich history and delicious food. It is the perfect place for families, couples or singles. My favorite halloween go to is the halloween parades or the Mortuary Haunted house ( that is actually Haunted). Audubon Zoo also puts on a Boo at the Zoo one weekend in October. 

My second recommendation is Salem. You can never go wrong on a Halloween trip to Salem in the fall and visit the Hocus Pocus filming locations. Truthfully close to Halloween it is insane but going in October is definitely worth it. They have several tour options and a ferry that runs from Boston to Salem. I highly recommend going at least once in your life. 

One of my lifelong favorites is Transylvania. Bran Castle hosts a huge halloween party every year. With all the tales of mythical creatures and stunning scenery it is a trip worth planning for!

Orlando is a great trip for families or couples to attend Disney World or Universal Halloween parties. If you prefer a cutesy Halloween Bash, Disney would be the better option. Universal has an amazing Halloween event with optional tours of the houses during the daytime. I cannot stress enough how amazing both events are. SeaWorld also has a Halloween event.
