Going to a theme park is always exciting, but after the intial excitement wears off here comes the panic for packing. I have traveled with and without my children and here is all of my recommendations:
1. Loungefly or fanny pack/crossbody - for most rides, you will have to use a locker to place any bags in. Universal charges for lockers if your bag is too big, so fanny packs/crossbody bags and Loungeflys without a front pocket are the best to use.
2. Sunscreen and bug spray - I will die on this hill: always use sunscreen to avoid burns. I bring bug spray because I always get bitten, and I hate being itchy all day.
3. Two pairs of running shoes - I always tell my clients to have two pairs because if it rains, you do not want wet shoes all day.
4. Lanyards - to keep your tickets handy
5. Ponchos - perfect for water rides or to try to beat the random rain.
6. Portable chargers - always great in case your phone dies and you don't have to go back to the hotel to charge your phone.
7. chafing stick - never a bad item to have on hand
8. Athletic clothes - always good to find cute workout clothes to go in since you're going to be walking a bit.
9. Toiletries/chargers
10. travel size detergent - cheaper to bring your own
11. swimwear/towel - Volcano Bay
12. snacks/reusable water bottle - you can use any free water fountain or buy the Coca-Cola cup to use machine water
13. travel documents / ID - highly important! Make sure to have everything ready for easy access at check-in or getting into parks
14. first aid kit
I hope you find this list helpful and have an amazing trip!
